PLANNING COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARING

1. CUP 98-18x2 - LA POSADA DE GUADALUPE DE CARLSBAD EXTENSION - Request for a retroactive ten (10) year extension of CUP 98-18x1 to allow the continued operation of an emergency homeless shelter located at 2480 Impala Drive in Local Facilities Management Zone 5. Resolution No. 6764

Motion to approve PLANNING COMMISSION ACTION: That the Planning Commission ADOPT Planning Commission Resolution No. 6764 APPROVING a retroactive ten (10) year extension of CUP 98-18x1 based upon the findings and subject to the conditions contained therein. Moved by Commissioner Montgomery, no second required.

Sister Raymonda gave presentation to the commission. Commissioner Montgomery requested explanation of funding for shelter. Commissioner Siekmann requested information regarding number of persons served by the shelter and average length of time. Commissioner Black requested information on how many return for more services. Commissioner Dominquez request information regarding any complaint history related to the facitlity.

2. CUP 10-13 - REAL FIT 4 LIFE FITNESS GYM - Request for a Conditional Use Permit to allow the Real Fit 4 Life Fitness Gym to operate in a vacant 5,693 square foot suite located within an existing office/industrial building (Building L) on property located at 6118 & 6120 Innovation Way, in the P-M Zone, in Local Facilities Management Zone 17. Resolution No. 6761

Motion to approve PLANNING COMMISSION ACTION: That the Planning Commission ADOPT Planning Commission Resolution No. 6761 APPROVING CUP 10-13 for a period of 10 years, based upon the findings and subject to the conditions contained therein. Moved by Commissioner Montgomery, no second required.
