Request for a five-year extension of Conditional Use Permit CUP 01-12 to allow the continued operation of a private school located at 3016 Highland Drive in Local Facilities Management Zone 1. Resolutions No. 6366
Commissioner Douglas disclosed that she did site visit.
Vice Chair Cardosa opened the public hearing on Item 1.
Mr. Neu introduced Item 1 and stated ASsociate Planner Barbara Kennedy would give the staff presentation.
Jan Taylor, director of the school, thanked the Commission for their intention to the school.
Commissioner Dominguez asked if there was any change from the original application. No.
Motion to approve that the Planning Commission ADOPT Planning Commission Resolution No. 6366 APPROVING CUP 01-12x1 based upon the findings and subject to the conditions contained therein. Moved by Commissioner Montgomery, seconded by .

Request for approval of a Tentative Tract Map and Nonresidential Planned Development Permit to subdivide a 20.59-acre site, currently approved for nine nonresidential buildings, into 9 airspace nonresidential condominiums on property generally located along the north side of Palomar Airport Road between Eagle Drive and Melrose Drive in Local Facilities Management Zone 18.

Mr. Garcia gave a brief presentation and stated he would be available to answer any questions.
Cardosa asked if there were any questions of Staff.
Commissioner Montgomery asked about the elevation in regards to Melrose Avenue and Palomar Airport Road. Mr. Garcia stated the elevation was approved by PIP 05-05 at an administrative level which approved the elevations.
Commissioner Dominguez asked if the building is sunken down at that location. Mr. Garcia stated the buildings are not a grade.
Larry Nelson, 1420 Bristol Street North, Newport Beach, gave a brief presentation and stated he would be available to answer any questions.

Motion to approve that the Planning Commission ADOPT Planning Commission Resolutions No. 6367 and 6368 APPROVING CT 06-11 and PUD 06-10 based on the findings and subject to the conditions contained therein. Moved by Chairperson Baker, no second required.
